Field Trip to E. 72nd and Wendy Park

Saturday, January 18, 2014

Leader: Jen Brumfield

Jen Brumfield led thirty-five birders from WCAS, Kirtland Bird Club and the Northeast Ohio Young Birders in sunny, 12-degree deep-freeze along the Cleveland Lakefront. A great opportunity to bird together, but doubtful that we will recognize each other without all of the hoods and mufflers! Long-tailed Ducks mingled with Mallards at the East 72nd Street warm-water outflow.  A Peregrine Falcon perched on a window ledge on the power plant. Wendy Park had Glaucous and Iceland Gulls. Thanks to Craig Caldwell and Liz McQuaid for sharing their bird lists.
