Western Cuyahoga Audubon Society joined Lake Erie Nature and Science Center for a bird walk through Huntington Reservation of Cleveland Metroparks.  After birding, we enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour and an owl presentation by Wildlife Rehabilitation Coordinator Amy LeMonds. Highlights of the bird walk were a Red-tailed Hawk on a nest and a Common Loon on Lake Erie. On our visit to LENSC a resident male Wild Turkey put on a beautiful courtship display.  Moving inside, we had a chance to observe the center’s Barred Owl plus a Northern Saw-whet Owl who made his educational debut on the occasion of our visit.  Thanks to our leader Mary Anne Romito, to Amy LeMonds, and to Catherine Timko and Christine Barnett who hosted us.
