Location: Wellington Reservation Observation date: 11/13/10 Notes: Western Cuyahoga Audubon Field trip lead by Chris Grame, Natural Resources, Lorain County Metro Parks. Leader: Chris Grame 15 birders, 43 species The highlight of this field trip was the GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE in the Wellington Upland Reservoir. It was in the company of Canada Geese. Everyone got good scope views of this unusual visitor. American Coots and Ruddy Ducks were in great numbers. Our walk through Wellington Reservation took us through restored prairie and wetlands. We had a flyby of horned larks. There were good numbers of American Tree Sparrows. Wetlands had Mallards, a Ring-necked Duck and shorebirds.
